Is Warframe Worth Playing? The Long Answer

Ever since the release of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, there has been a renewed interest in the highly popular massively multiplayer online role-playing game, Warframe. The reason for this is obvious. With these new systems, people can finally have the same game that they used to have in the olden days. What makes Warframe so popular? Why are millions of people playing it?

The answer to this question lies in the simple premise of the game: Warframe is a free-to play, high-fidelity free-for-all multiplayer shooter. The player’s goal in Warframe is to earn credits by battling other players and destroying enemy targets. Unlike many other MMORPGs or massively multiplayer online role-playing games, however, players are not required to be a member to engage in Warframe fights and battles.

There are two basic sides in Warframe. There are the Guardians, who are fighting against the Forces of Destruction. There are also Defiants, who are against the Guardians. Between the two, more than two dozen classes, ranging from the classic Sentinal, to the flashy and mysterious Warrior, exist in the game. A lot of the appeal of Warframe lies in the different player classes. As you can imagine, with such a large number of potential players, the game has a large variety of possibilities, both in terms of the types of characters a player can develop and the challenges they can face in the trenches of Warframe.

The combat in Warframe is both brutal and complex, and requires quick thinking and a good deal of timing to emerge victorious. In addition, the controls of the character is never simple, as the entire game is presented through using a combination of keyboard and mouse movements. This creates an in-game environment which is both challenging and enjoyable.

The actual story line of Warframe is quite interesting and well developed. There is a heavy emphasis on mankind’s conflict with each other, between the Guardians and the Forces of Destruction. Each of these factions has several unique powers and abilities, and must be carefully employed to achieve success in combat. In short, the in-game world of Warframe puts you in the midst of a massive battle for supremacy between the forces of good and evil.

Another aspect of the in-game narrative is the ability to transfer your save data between accounts. This is an excellent feature for players who are only interested in experiencing the single player campaign, but would like to be able to save their progress in case they get stuck somewhere in the middle of the campaign. In this way, they can continue where they left off instead of having to start from the beginning. Additionally, the game features several different multiplayer maps, and several popular Warframe agents to play alongside. It is quite common for players to get involved in the social chat as well as the social networking aspects of the Warframe universe, which can be a great way to learn more about the character of your character and other players.

One thing that many people ask about, especially since the game is so new, is whether or not Warframe is a grind. The short answer to the question is no. The nature of the game means that you won’t be constantly fighting against the same objective. Instead, you will have to work your way through the different levels in order to unlock the upgrades for your guns, units, and other items.

Although there are certainly some elements of a grind that can be enjoyable, most players would be happy to hear that there are numerous areas to explore, and plenty of things to do within the game itself. Certainly, the single player campaign is the cornerstone of Warframe, and will likely remain the main source of interest for players for quite some time to come. However, there is no doubt that Warframe is an amazing social networking game. With the ability to chat with players around the world for up to 3 hours straight, and the ability to level up your character much faster, many gamers find that Warframe is a fantastic way to have fun while earning and leveling up. So, is the long answer “is Warframe worth playing”?
