Since Nintendo has revealed that the second installment of The Legend of Zelda will feature the same locations and scenes from the previous game, many are hoping that we might finally learn what happens after Link falls into the underground cave. Some fans have been disappointed with the way the game ended up there, but Nintendo has offered up the promise that the final product will provide a much-needed sequel. Whether or not this will happen is anyone’s guess, but the company has put a great deal of faith into The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, so if anything it certainly seems like they have every intention of making the game as satisfactory as possible.

The popularity of Zelda games has soared in recent years, even managing to lead Nintendo to create multiple entries in the series. If anything, the success of The Legend of Zelda series has pushed Nintendo to consider creating a brand new game in the vein of the classic adventure. With Zelda: Breath of the Wild leading the way, it appears as though they will have no problems at all filling the void left by the cancellation of the Wii U game. There’s still no specific release date for the second Zelda game, but Nintendo of America president and COO Reggie Fils-Napoleon Bonfigli recently hinted that it will arrive in “fall” of next year. Whether or not he was referring to a specific date by then or simply an estimate, the timing couldn’t be worse for fans who are waiting anxiously for the long awaited game.

The game received very positive reviews from gamers everywhere, and Nintendo managed to increase its sales figures in the process. The reason why Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, sold so well is because Zelda fans absolutely loved the game’s story, music and graphics. Despite not receiving the kind of recognition that its predecessors received, Breath of the Wild 2 actually turned out to be bigger, better and more exciting than its predecessor.
