The Witcher’s 3 Wild Hunt in the Heart of the Woods Game Review
The witcher 3: Wild Hunt in the Heart of the Woods is the spiritual sequel to the award-winning The witcher series. It tells the story of an evil sorceress who tries to destroy the World. CD quality voiceovers and the amazing graphics might put you off initially, but don’t worry, this is not an old-school hidden object game. In fact, you’ll feel that everything in this game is very “current”. The puzzles are challenging, and even the most basic items will prove to be challenging. The game progresses steadily from point to point, and you’ll know exactly when the next phase of the storyline is coming, allowing you to plan your strategy for success.
The story begins in the beautiful town of Yennefer, a medieval burg whose life is turned upside down when a local girl becomes infected by the witcher’s blade. The local priest, Stanna, tries to help her find help, but he too becomes infected. With the infection spreading, the townspeople become desperate, and they try to look for help in every possible way. The witchers become involved in the investigation. You play the role of multiple characters, and each of them has their own story to tell. The difficulty increases as you delve further into the story, and hidden object scenes become more difficult to solve.
Unfortunately, not everyone enjoys hidden object scenes, and this is why the game starts with the game’s opening scenes. I found the beginning part a little slow, but then things picked up after that. The story line drifts from point A to point B without much attention to the story development, but it sure is engrossing all the same.
During the course of the game, players are asked to perform a variety of tasks, including searching for clues, speaking with locals, finding items, etc. The task sequence gets progressively more difficult as the game moves on, but players are never left in the dark. The voice of the game never ceases to be funny, and the voice actor for the most part, James McBay, did a fantastic job. However, there were a few times where the voice sounded a bit unnatural. This may be due to the fact that the game was originally developed for Windows, and all games have always been compatible between Microsoft and Linux, which are two different operating systems.
However, the current release of the game is not compatible with the older versions of Windows. However, the developers of the game did manage to port the game to Mac and Xbox 360 platforms, so don’t worry too much if you already have an older system. In fact, the game is so compatible with other operating systems that many people use the Wii console to play The witcher 3 Wild Hunt in the heart of the woods instead. It’s definitely one of the best games out there for those who enjoy hidden object scenes and action.
The game starts out in 12th century France, where the great king, Louis the XIV, has been away from his court. Naturally, his subjects have begun to gossip about their king, and one of the subjects mentions the tragic story of the witcher, Vincent, who is believed to be somewhere in northern England. When you eventually make it to the front door, Vincent is nowhere to be seen, but you immediately start to fear that he has been kidnapped or killed. But instead of being killed, the ghost of the king’s old lover appears, and proceeds to guide you through the various hidden object scenes, solving puzzles and uncover the truth about Vincent’s tragic past. You’ll have so many things to wonder about in this game, and when you finally do find out the truth, it will be one of the best stories you have ever experienced.
Another great thing about The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt in the Heart of the Woods is the amazing graphics. Some hidden object games are quite bare bones in terms of aesthetics, but The Witcher’s 3 Wild Hunt features top notch artwork and animation. It looks like you are right in the middle of the scene as you discover each object, solve the riddles, and go on to complete the mystery. It really brings the adventure into a completely different level than most hidden object games, and is very fun to play.
If you loved the first game, then you’re going to love The Witcher’s 3 Wild Hunt in the Heart of the Woods. This one feels and looks like the true spiritual successor to its predecessor, The Oregon Trail. The puzzles are still very easy to solve, and the whole atmosphere of the game makes you feel like you are really solving a crime, instead of just exploring an old cabin. I don’t know whether it was because the third game in The Oregon Trail series felt like it lost its touch, or if this one just feels better, but either way, I still really enjoyed playing this one.
